St. Louis Park won the 2009 Riverview League behind the arm of Shane Wright and bat of Jason Mihalakis. Wright threw a complete game 4-hitter and retired 21 in a row at one point. Mihalakis's 2-run single in the first inning would be enough, but his 2-run hit in the 5th inning would provide the cushion Park needed.
Park earned the League's #1 seed by tie-breaker rules as the Co-League Champion also finished 14-2 during league play. Park opens up its playoff run on Tuesday, July 28th at 7:30 PM at Dakota Field in St. Louis Park.
